Instead of hearing from our Division Director, Mike Schons, we would like to post a tribute to him as this was our last Fall Division meeting under his leadership. He has served our Division very well. His voice represented us at the national level at every meeting and several committees he served on. The committees were Finance, Education, and Bike, serving as the National Bike Program Supervisor, COC rewrite and subcommittee, Election, and Special Interest Groups. Currently, Mike is serving on the Governance committee. He was never shy about speaking up on our behalf and always followed through with anything he was tasked to do. Mike is a strong leader who sets clear goals and chooses wisely with talent throughout the Division to accomplish them. He is passionate about the patrollers of the Central Division and cares about issues that affect us. Thank you, Mike, for leading and supporting us in the excellent way you did. With your support, he will move in another direction to continue to represent the Division’s needs at the National level as he is running for the National Board of Directors.
